Pine Bluff Police detectives are actively searching for a second suspect in connection to a recent homicide investigation. Authorities have identified 39-year-old Lamarcus Benton as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Markee Avery.
Avery was found deceased from apparent gunshot wounds at a residence located at 1212 South Spruce Street. Police have already taken one suspect into custody—Michael King Jr., the brother of Lamarcus Benton.
Benton is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10” tall and weighing 196 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.
