A $25,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Rison man currently on probation who was arrested after two weapons were found in a house where he was staying.
Jefferson County Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Steven Wainwright, 32, with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Wainwright was arrested Tuesday after police were sent to a residence on Edmar Drive in response to a reported domestic disturbance.
Spradlin said Wainwright is on probation from Cleveland County following a conviction for second-degee battery. He was told to come back to court Aug. 20.
