Redfield Man Held on $25,000 Bond for Alleged Assault on Pregnant Girlfriend

A $25,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Redfield man accused of slapping and choking his pregnant girlfriend.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kaleb Kirksey, 31, with felony domestic battery.

Sheriff’s Investigator Kirsten Pennington reported that on Tuesday, she was contacted by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Sgt. Riley Ramirez about a domestic battery.

Kirksey was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Feb. 23.
