New Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Chief Randy Compton was officially sworn in during a ceremony held Friday afternoon at the Prince Hall Grand Lodge.
Compton assumes the role following the retirement of Chief Shauwn Howell in 2025.
Compton addressed the audience following the swearing-in ceremony, offering thanks to several individuals.
Compton also shared a message with the citizens of Pine Bluff and the firefighters within his department.
Compton concluded his remarks by saying changes are on the way for the department and outlined several initiatives he is considering.
