A $5,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man currently on probation, who allegedly stole a car Thursday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cedric Cleveland, 37, with theft of property.

Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed asked for the cash only bond because in addition to the probation, which prosecutors will seek to evoke, Cleveland has two other cases, a third-degree domestic battery and a theft by receiving.

On Thursday, police were sent to a domestic disturbance involving Cleveland on Olive Street.

Cleveland was told to come back to court April 20.
