Residents of a community in Grant County will soon have to make arrangements to have their garbage picked up.
According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, residents of Prattsville formerly paid a fee that was collected on their water bill and were assigned a mandatory trash pickup service.
In April, notices were mailed to Prattsvill Waterworks customers telling them that the fee is being removed and they would be responsible for arranging trash pickup.
According to the newspaper, there are several companies operating in the area that can pick up trash and Grant County Solid Waste is also available.
