Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday evening during the Easter in the Gart event, according to the Stuttgart Police Department.
Police said dispatch began receiving calls around 7:21 p.m. reporting gunshots in the area behind Holman School. Officers responded immediately and learned that individuals with injuries were already being transported to the hospital.
With assistance from the Arkansas State Police and the Arkansas County Sheriff’s Office, officers secured and cleared the scene. Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Details regarding the number of victims and the extent of injuries have not been released.
