Pine Bluff police are searching for a 20-year-old man now wanted on a capital murder charge following a shooting earlier this week that proved fatal.
According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, Akyell Malik Madison is wanted for capital murder after the victim in a Tuesday night shooting died from his injuries earlier today. The shooting occurred at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 3400 block of Old Warren Road.
Investigators said a male victim, identified as 29-year-old Marcus Jackson, was shot six times with an AK-47–style weapon during the incident. The victim was transported for medical treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
Jackson was identified to Deltaplex News as being the victim by the Pine Bluff Police Department.
Police said Madison should be considered armed and dangerous based on the nature of the offense.
Madison is described as a Black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds.
