A $200,000 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of forcing his hand inside of his girlfriend in order to “prove” fidelity.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 45-year-old Travis Jackson with Rape and Aggravated Assault on a Family Member.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Prosecuting Attorney Ty Spradlin said on June 8th, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, the victim said her boyfriend, Jackson, choked her, hit her head against the wall and forced his hand inside of her.
The victim was taken to JRMC for her injuries.
When interviewed at JRMC, the victim states she had been at a party, then went riding around for a couple hours.
When she got home, Jackson turned the lamp on, very upset asking her where she was. Jackson didn’t believe the victim, to which he proceeded to get physical with her and forced his hand inside of her to “check” if she had slept with someone.
Jackson is ordered to have no contact with the victim and is scheduled to return to court on July 31st.
