Pine Bluff police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered early Thursday morning on South Oak Street.
According to a press release, officers responded just after 6:30 a.m. Feb. 26 to the 2105 block of South Oak Street after receiving a report of a dead body. The man has now been identified at 63-year-old Kenny Christopher
When officers arrived, they found Christoper lying just off the roadway in front of 2105 S. Oak. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the man had died some time before being discovered.
Police reported there were no readily identifiable gunshot or stab wounds on the body. While investigators do not believe the death to be a homicide at this time, the case will be investigated as one until the cause and manner of death are determined by a medical examiner at the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory.
