PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Pine Bluff Police Department will honor several officers advancing through the ranks during a promotion ceremony scheduled for Friday, May 8.
The ceremony will take place at noon inside the Detective Kevin Collins Training Center, located in the City Council Chambers.
Department officials said the event is intended to recognize the dedication, leadership and service of officers receiving promotions within the department.
Two deputy chiefs will be elevated to the rank of assistant chief. Those officers are Billy Elliott and Shirley Warrior.
Two lieutenants are also being promoted to captain, including DeShawn Bennett and Derric Neal.
The department will promote four sergeants to lieutenant:
- Keith Banks
- Chrisanthia Kendrick
- Jasmine Womack
- William Wilfong
In addition, 10 officers will be promoted to the rank of sergeant:
- Vance Freeman
- Joe Anderson
- Jason Boykin
- Shaun Cook
- Michael Merritt
- Dante Nicholson
- Shawn Watson
- Ryan Edwards
- Derrel Lantrip
- Tiffany Wood
According to the department, the ceremony reflects the agency’s continued commitment to leadership, professionalism and service to the Pine Bluff community.
Community members, family members and supporters are encouraged to attend the ceremony and celebrate the officers as they begin the next stage of their law enforcement careers.
