In other business, an ordinance authorizing the city to make electronic payments that has been hanging around for several months while council members bickered over language and definitions was adopted 6-1 with Council Member Steven Mays voting no and council member Yvonne Denton absent.

Six resolutions authorizing the city to sell property at various locations were pulled By Council member William Fells, who sponsored them. Fells explained why to Deltaplex News.

He said Locket questioned the prices being offered for some of the properties compared to their market value.
