Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge George Russell, 41, with aggravated assault and aggravated robbery.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Tiffany Wood, Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said at 12:40 p.m., police responded to the Brierwood Motel in response to a reported robbery.

When Russell was questioned, he admitted going to the motel and hitting the victim but denied taking any money.

Russell was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court April 27.
