A $5,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man currently on parole who was accused of chasing a neighbor with a broken bed rail on July 4.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Lloyd Meadows, 46, with aggravated assault.
Prosecuting Attorney Kyle Hunter said Meadows has three prior felony convictions and has a warrant accusing him of violating conditions of his parole.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Tiffany Wood, Hunter said at 11:38 a.m., police were sent to a reported disturbance on West 3rd Avenue in Pine Bluff.
Meadows was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Aug. 6.
