A Pine Bluff man was killed in the early morning hours Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle.
According to a preliminary report, Chuck V. Cosen, 55, was lying in the left lane of the roadway on Highway 190, Harding Avenue when he was struck by a 2013 Lincoln that was westbound on the highway at the time.
The report said the driver of the car saw a downed motorcycle in the lanes ahead of him and changed lanes, only to hit Cosen, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 12:27 a.m. and the death was the 183rd so far this year on the state’s highways.
