A $10,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man on drug and weapons charges.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Brandon Burnett, 32, with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Officer Steven Murray, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said on Saturday evening, Murray was patrolling on Dollarway Road in White Hall when he saw a Dodge Charger speeding and conducted a traffic stop on Dollarway Road near the Baptist Church.
Hunter said the total weight of the suspected marijuana was 139-grams. Burnett was told to come back to court May 13.
