A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man on drug and weapons charges,
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Fred Pittman, 39, with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and theft by receiving.
Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said Pittman was taken into custody after police served a search warrant at a residence on Harding Avenue.
Pittman said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court Oct. 17.
