A $5,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly helped his brother hide after the brother escaped from the Jefferson County Jail.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Robert Jones, 28, with hindering apprehension or prosecution.
Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Investigator Kristen Garner, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said deputies were searching for Darius Shepherd and during that search were conducting surveillance on Rose Street.
Hunter said deputies followed the Lexus to Dollarway Road and conducted a traffic stop at Dollarway and Hutchinson.
Jones was told to come back to court April 15.
