A $50,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man currently on parole and with what prosecutors called a “significant criminal history” on drug and weapons related charges.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Marquis Foster, 40, with possession of fentanyl with purpose to deliver, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, two counts of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said the allegations are based on an affidavit from Vice and Narcotics Detective Lee Freeman who reported that on Thursday afternoon, vice and narcotics detectives and members of the Tri-County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a house on East 15th Avenue.
Two women who were in the house and also arrested were released pending further investigation.
West said Foster has a “lot of felony drug convictions” and pending alias and bench warrants from the First Division of Circuit Court.
He was told to come back to court Oct. 24.
