A$10,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man on drug related charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kevin Franklin, 32, with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Lee Freeman, Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said at 1:03 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to West 28th Avenue and Camden Road to check the welfare of a person in a vehicle. They found a man later identified as Franklin asleep in the vehicle.

Spradlin said after police administered two additional field sobriety tests, Franklin was told he would be taken for a breath alcohol test.

The results of the breath alcohol test were zero. Franklin was told to come back to court March 26.
