Pine Bluff Man Held on $100,000 Bond after Allegedly Causing Serious Injuries to a Child

A $100,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of causing serious injuries to a child.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jamal Thompson, 31, with first-degree domestic battery.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Pine Bluff Police received information about injuries to a child from Arkansas Children’s Hospital on Jan. 1.

Thompson was ordered to have no contact with the child and told to come back to court Feb. 23.
