A $5,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man with multiple prior felony convictions who was shot during an altercation Wednesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Darren Brock, 33, with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said Brock was arrested after police were sent to a reported shooting on West 29th Avenue where they also arrested Derrick Bryant who allegedly had shot Brock.

Alexander said Brock has convictions dating back to 2013 including a 2019 conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was told to come back to court Sept. 12.
