A $15,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man on drug and weapons allegations.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Shamarion Winston, 19, with possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, violation of the uniform Machine Gun act, and theft by receiving.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Winston was taken into custody after police Vice and Narcotics Detective Jarrell Johnson attempted to stop a black Toyota Thursday because Winston was not wearing a seat belt.
Spradlin said Johnson approached the passenger side of the Toyota, opened the door and gave Winston verbal commands to show his hands.
Spradlin said the gun had a switch that converted it from semi-automatic to full automatic and the serial numbers on the barrel and slide showed they had been reported stolen in North Little Rock.
Winston was told to come back to court July 25.
