A $250,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly forced his way into a house and stabbed another man.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge David Christopher Herron, 49, with aggravated residential burglary and first-degree battery.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said in the early morning hours Tuesday, Boykin was working off-duty in the Emergency Room at Jefferson Regional Hospital when a male later identified as Jonathan Irwin came in bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
Hunter said Herron has multiple prior convictions but is not currently on probation or parole. Herron was ordered to have no contact with the victim and was told to come back to court March 19.
