A $5,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of hitting his girlfriend in the face while she was holding an infant.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Joshua Grant, 42, with endangering the welfare of a minor and second offense third-degree domestic battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Investigator Kristen Garner, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said deputies were sent to a reported disturbance on Mail Route Road.

Hunter said Grant is currently out on bond on allegations of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening and prosecutors will be filing a petition to revoke that bond.

Grant was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court May 13.
