A $10,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man currently on probation who is accused of being the get-away driver for a second man who was seen entering a business low on South Blake Street.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Michael Ludwig, 55, with breaking or entering.

Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said Ludwig has four or more prior felony convictions and was placed on probation in October 2025. Prosecutors will file a petition to revoke that probation.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Tiffany Woods, Hunter said at about 3 a.m. Monday, police were patrolling the Blake Street area when they saw a pickup truck parked near a business and stopped to investigate.

Police found the window to the office broken and a door open. The owner of the business said the window was not broken when he left the business the day before.

Ludwig was told to come back to court Feb. 27.
