Pine Bluff Fire & Emergency Services to Honor 9/11 Victims with Moment of Silence

Pine Bluff Fire & Emergency Services will pause Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, to honor the lives lost during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

At 9 a.m., the department will hold a moment of silence to remember the 343 firefighters and paramedics, 71 law enforcement officers, and nearly 3,000 civilians who perished on that tragic day.

All available fire department personnel will assemble in front of the Central Station flagpole at 200 E. 8th Avenue at 8:58 a.m. The ceremony will include brief remarks from the department’s chaplain and other speakers before the flag is lowered in accordance with local, state, and national proclamations.
