The Pine Bluff City Council will hold a special called meeting tonight at 6 p.m. to discuss a proposed contract with CARDS Recycling & Waste Management, a sanitation company based in Dardanelle.
The proposal was introduced at Tuesday night’s regular council meeting but was tabled after members said they did not feel adequately informed about the company.
Ward 3 Councilmember Lanette Frazier said she has concerns about CARDS after conducting her own research and indicated she may oppose the contract.
Frazier shared feedback she found in customer reviews of CARDS Recycling & Waste Management.
Alderman Bruce Lockett raised concerns about the company during Tuesday night’s meeting, but Frazier noted that her concerns are separate from Lockett’s and that she has not discussed the matter with him.
Frazier encouraged fellow council members and the public to conduct their own research.
The Pine Bluff City Council will meet at 6 p.m. tonight to discuss and possibly vote on the contract.
