At Monday night’s Pine Bluff City Council meeting, a resolution was approved authorizing the mayor to take steps to verify and confirm city boundaries with White Hall and to mark those boundaries with appropriate signage at regular intervals.

The resolution was sponsored by Alderman Steven Mays.

Mays spoke with Deltaplex News following the meeting about what he hopes to accomplish with the measure.

Mays said a proper survey will be required to ensure both cities’ boundaries are accurately established.

Mayor Vivian Flowers’ office will now be responsible for hiring a firm to survey and accurately establish the boundaries between the two cities.
