Parolee Accused of Armed Threat and Burglary Held on $100,000 Bond in Pine Bluff

A $100,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man currently on parole who was accused of kicking the door of a house open and threatening to kill the occupant.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Damon Williams, 37, with aggravated residential burglary, aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said on Sunday, police responded to a reported armed disturbance at a house in the 2400 block of Pine Street.

Williams previous convictions include discharging a firearm from a vehicle, terroristic threatening, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Feb. 20.
