Fire Chief Randy Compton reminded residents that Fire Prevention Week will be observed October 5–11. During that time, the Pine Bluff Fire Department will partner with the Red Cross and the Masonic Temple to provide and install smoke alarms for any households in need. Compton also emphasized that current burn bans remain in effect until officially lifted by the county judge.

Animal Control Director Marcus Grayson and Code Enforcement Representative Patrick Lockett stressed the importance of pet safety and responsible property upkeep to ensure safe and livable neighborhoods.

The P.F.A.C. meeting serves as an open forum for sharing public safety information with the community and is held monthly at the Kevin Collins Center, 200 E. 8th Avenue, from 6–7 p.m.
