The Pine Bluff Police Department, in collaboration with several other law enforcement agencies, has launched Operation Stop the Bleed on the streets of Pine Bluff. The operation is planned to span 12 rounds, with the first round already completed.
John Worthen, Public Information Specialist for the Pine Bluff Police Department, spoke with Deltaplex News about the operation on Thursday.
Worthen said that one thing officers will target are vehicles with expired temporary tags, saying any car found with expired temporary tags will be towed.
Worthen said Interim Police Chief Shirley Warrior is emphasizing accountability and transparency from her officers moving forward.
Worthen explained that the operation will consist of 12 rounds because officers are approaching it like a heavyweight fight, which typically goes the full 12 rounds.
Operation Stop the Bleed will focus on areas stretching from Hazel Street to just beyond Interstate 530, according to Worthen.
