A single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 65 in rural Jefferson County claimed the life of a McGehee man earlier this week, according to an Arkansas State Police crash report.
The crash occurred on Tuesday, July 16 at approximately 5:42 p.m. Authorities say the vehicle, a 2006 Toyota Tacoma traveling southbound, left the roadway and overturned multiple times.
The driver, identified as 66-year-old William Turney of McGehee, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. No additional injuries were reported.
Weather conditions at the time of the crash were clear, and the roadway was dry.
