A Sheridan man was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening in Jefferson County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:17 p.m. on March 20 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 365 and Mill Avenue in Redfield.
Authorities identified the victim as 29-year-old Hunter Reynolds of Sheridan. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Douglas McCurry.
According to the preliminary report, Reynolds was traveling south on Highway 365 on a 2007 Honda VTX 1300 when a 2024 Honda HR-V, traveling north, attempted to turn onto the highway from a parking lot. Investigators said the vehicle turned in front of Reynolds, resulting in a collision with the driver’s side front door of the Honda HR-V.
The driver of the Honda HR-V, 72-year-old Katie L. Jackson of Sheridan, and a passenger, 75-year-old Linda K. Whitaker of Sheridan, were injured in the crash. Both were transported to a Little Rock hospital for treatment.
Officials said weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
