Several individuals were sentenced in Desha County Circuit Court in recent weeks after accepting negotiated plea agreements in a series of cases involving charges ranging from burglary and firearm offenses to assault and failure to register as a sex offender.
On Feb. 17, Keilan Curry was sentenced to four years of supervised probation after pleading to terroristic threatening, endangering the welfare of a minor and domestic battery.
Chasidy Fulton received two years of supervised probation and a $500 fine after pleading to aggravated assault.
Jamarcus Dupree was sentenced to 88 years total, to run concurrently, resulting in 16 years to be served in the Arkansas Department of Correction, after pleading to commercial burglary and 13 counts of theft of a firearm.
Roderick J. Blackmon also pleaded to commercial burglary and 13 counts of theft of a firearm and was sentenced to 32 years total, to run concurrently, with eight years to be served in the Arkansas Department of Correction followed by eight years suspended imposition of sentence.
Kenneth Gardner was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction, along with 10 years suspended imposition of sentence and $600 in restitution, after pleading to charges including a terroristic act, possession of firearms by certain persons, unlawful removal or failure to charge an electronic monitoring device and failure to appear.
Ja’Kalen Vincent was sentenced to three years in the Arkansas Department of Correction following a plea to unlawful discharge of a firearm and revocation.
John Reed received supervised probation and was ordered to pay $890 in restitution after pleading to theft of property.
Antwain Spencer was sentenced to three years suspended imposition of sentence after pleading to failure to register as a sex offender.
On Feb. 24, Lamon Petty was sentenced to two years in community corrections after pleading to breaking or entering.
On March 10, Craig Alexander received a suspended imposition of sentence after pleading to fleeing in a vehicle.
On March 16, James Amos Jr. was sentenced to time served after pleading to failure to register as a sex offender.
Also on March 16, Lawayne Emerson was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction followed by three years suspended imposition of sentence after pleading to breaking or entering and forgery.
All cases were handled in Desha County Circuit Court.
