David Crook
A Monticello man was taken into custody Thursday after officers with the Monticello Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, along with deputies from the Drew County Sheriff’s Department, executed an arrest warrant following a brief foot chase.
According to Monticello Police Chief Carlos Garcia, David Crook was arrested on September 11, 2025, on charges stemming from an ongoing investigation.
The warrant includes charges of domestic battery in the second degree involving a family member over the age of 60, interference with emergency communications, and theft of property.
Crook is currently being held at the Drew County Detention Facility.
