Also approved was a resolution accepting the bid to rehabilitate the Country Club water tank. According to the newspaper, the bid came in approximately $15,000 higher than expected, with an additional $25,000 cost linked to a modification required by the Arkansas Health Department. The city has applied for an exemption that could reduce the cost.

A resolution adding the purchase of a portable stage for city events was added to the agenda. Currently, the city uses temporary stages, frequently trailers while the proposed new stage would include stairs, a handrail and a transport cart.

The council approved spending $20,925.68 for the stage, with the money coming from the 1-cent sales tax.
