Mark Cannon Discusses His Jefferson County Sheriff Campaign and Vision for Change on Oldies 1013

Self-described political activist Mark Cannon is challenging incumbent Jefferson County Sherif Lafayette Woods Jr., in the March Democratic primary and Cannon appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where he was asked why he was running for the job.

He was also asked “What are some of the first things he would do if he was elected?”

Cannon has no background or training in law enforcement and was asked if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Cannon said if he is elected, he would ensure that policies and procedures are followed, and he was asked if he believed that those policies and procedures are not being followed now.

Morning Show host Greg Horne said the sheriff and the county judge have not been able to get along and asked Cannon, if he is elected, what he would do to change that?
