Man Rescued After Falling Into Well in Grant County

Emergency crews rescued a man Sunday after he fell through a floor and became trapped inside a well, according to authorities.

Departments responding to the incident included the Sheridan Fire Department, Grant County Rescue and MEMS Ambulance. Crews were dispatched after receiving reports that a man had fallen through a structure and into a well below.

Responders worked for approximately an hour to safely reach and remove the man from the confined space. Officials said the rescue required coordinated efforts from multiple agencies working to ensure the man could be brought to the surface without further injury.

The man was successfully rescued and did not suffer serious injuries, according to officials on scene.

Authorities praised the quick response and teamwork of all agencies involved, noting that not every call ends with a positive outcome.
