A man is dead following an ATV accident Monday evening on U.S. Highway 425 near the Tarry community, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Young.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene, with the Arkansas State Police taking charge of the investigation since the crash occurred on a state highway.
Preliminary information indicates the man was traveling along the highway when, for reasons still under investigation, he left the roadway. The ATV struck a culvert, ejecting the rider. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kin. The Arkansas State Police are expected to release a full report in the coming days.
