Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead Thursday afternoon near the Lake Kate Adams recreational area.
According to the Desha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at 4:49 p.m. Feb. 12 to the levee just south of the Lake Kate Adams recreational area.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased white male inside a 2006 Ford pickup truck. Investigators processed the scene and identified the man as a 36-year-old Desha County resident.
Officials said no foul play is suspected at this time.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case, no additional information is being released.
The investigation remains active and is being handled by the Desha County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Desha County Coroner.
