Mainline Health Systems, Inc. (MHSI) has earned three prestigious outpatient program achievement awards from the American Heart Association (AHA) for its commitment to reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke through improved management of high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, and blood pressure.
The awards highlight MHSI’s dedication to following the latest evidence-based and science-driven care guidelines.
Nearly half of all adults in the U.S. live with some form of cardiovascular disease, such as heart attack, stroke, or heart failure. Risk factors like high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, and uncontrolled high blood pressure significantly contribute to these conditions. However, with early diagnosis, research-backed treatment, and proper education, many of these risks can be managed effectively.
“We are proud to be recognized by the American Heart Association for our focus on Type 2 diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure management and care,” said Jeni Barham, MHSI’s Chief Quality Officer. “These programs help us apply the latest science-backed guidelines to improve the lives of our patients.”
As part of the AHA’s Target: BP, Check. Change. Control. Cholesterol, and Target: Type 2 Diabetes programs, MHSI demonstrated its commitment to reducing risk factors for cardiovascular disease through better treatment protocols and patient care.
This year, MHSI received the following achievement awards from the AHA and the American Medical Association:
-
The American Heart Association’s Check. Change. Control. Cholesterol™ Gold
-
The American Heart Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes℠ Gold
-
Target: BP™ Gold+
These awards recognize MHSI’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality, research-driven care to patients across southeast Arkansas.
