Lockdown Lifted at Warren High School After Report of Possible Weapon

A lockdown at Warren High School has been lifted after authorities investigated a report of a possible weapon on campus and found no threat, according to officials.

The incident began when the Warren School District received an anonymous call from an unknown individual claiming a weapon was located inside a bathroom at the high school. School officials immediately contacted the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and implemented safety protocols.

“The district takes all such reports seriously and immediately contacted law enforcement authorities and implemented its safety and security plans to assure the safety of students and staff, which is the District’s top priority at all times,” authorities said.

Law enforcement officers responded to the campus and conducted a thorough search while the school remained on lockdown.

Officials said all students were screened through metal detectors, and the campus was carefully searched by appropriate personnel. No weapon was found.

“At this time, the lockdown at Warren High School has been lifted,” officials said. “All students were screened through metal detectors, and the campus was thoroughly searched. No weapon was found.”

Authorities said the lockdown remained in place until the environment was determined to be safe for students and staff.

“The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority,” the district said. “We appreciate the cooperation and patience of our students, staff, families and local authorities during this situation.”

Classes have since resumed normal operations as the investigation concludes.
