Another special called meeting resulted in another night without a quorum, as several justices once again failed to appear.
Only Justices Ted Hardin, Patricia Johnson, and Jimmy Fisher were present. Justice Conley Byrd is recovering from surgery, and Justices Cedric Jackson and Reginald Adams arrived only after the meeting had already been canceled due to the lack of a quorum, but they did attempt to make the meeting.
The meeting was called in an effort to authorize payments to vendors who have gone unpaid for roughly six months.
County Judge Gerald Robinson spoke with Deltaplex News about the failed meeting attempt.
Robinson said he will wait until December’s meeting to try again to get the vendors paid, noting that this is Thanksgiving week.
