Among the many changes that will take place in Arkansas schools because of the LEARNS Act adopted by the Arkansas General Assembly is a requirement that new teachers do a residency, just like what medical professionals do, as a part of their certification process.

Jennifer Barbaree, the Superintendent of the Pine Bluff School District was asked about that requirement, and how the district is going to implement it, when she appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.

She went on to explain how the residency will work.

Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Barbaree how much time will these students spend in the classrooms at Pine Bluff High School or which ever other school they will be working it?

Horne also asked Barbaree if everybody in the education field glad that this is happening because of the new law?
