UPDATE 3:55 PM: The Arkansas Forestry Division and local volunteer fire departments have contained the fire. Deltaplex News is told that approximately one acre of land was burned.
The lack of wind in the area helped firefighters to contain the fire very quickly.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Several fire departments, along with the Arkansas Forestry Division, are actively battling a wildfire currently burning at the intersection of Highway 79 and Hudson Cemetery Road.
At this time, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and officials have not yet determined how many acres have been affected.
