The Jefferson County Quorum Court met Tuesday night for its regular October meeting, approving several items on the agenda but leaving others unresolved.
Following the meeting, Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson discussed the outcome, noting that while a number of appropriations passed, three key items he requested did not receive approval.
According to Robinson, the items that failed are necessary to address pressing county needs — including paying outstanding vendor bills and resolving ongoing issues related to the county’s lack of internet and email access.
Robinson emphasized that the funds to cover these expenses are available but cannot be used until they are appropriated by the Quorum Court.
He continued with this.
