A $10,000 cash only bond was set Wednesday for a Jefferson County man accused of choking the mother of his child and threatening to kill her.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Leondrick Jackson, 29, with aggravated assault on a family member and terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit from Sheriff’s Investigator Kristen Garner, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Monday, deputies were notified of a disturbance that was taking place in a vehicle that was southbound on Interstate 530 near Gravel Pit Road.

West said Jackson has no prior felony convictions but is out on bond on a charge of terroristic threatening.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Nov. 12.
