A $5,000 bond was set Friday for a Jefferson County man accused of threatening relatives during an altercation.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Martin Davis, 47, with terroristic threatening.

The court hearing was held without Davis present as he would not come out of his cell at the adult detention center.

The allegation was based on an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin and presented in court by Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin.

Davis was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Aug. 1.
