A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Jefferson County man accused of choking his wife during an altercation Tuesday.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge David Wilkinson, 47, with aggravated assault on a family or household member.
The allegation is based on an affidavit by Sheriff’s Investigator Garner that was presented in court.
When Wilkinson was interviewed, he admitted that he and his wife argued but denied choking her.
Wilkinson was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Oct. 15.
